- Seller funded temporary rate buydowns cost sellers less than price reductions and greater benefit buyer monthly payment!
- The 2-year buydown is most common choice for seller-funded.
- Example: $350,000 Purchase Price, $315,000 loan amount, Fixed Note rate 7.25%, Minimum Seller Credit for 2-1 Buydown = $7426, Year 1 Buyer pays 5.25% = $409.41 LESS PER MONTH; Year 2 Buyer pays 6.25% = $209.35 LESS PER MONTH!

- Inflation data and other indicators show the American economy remains strong. While this is great news for many reasons, it is rate unfriendly.
- Conventional 30 Year Fixed rates ticked up to 7.25%
- Recent Fannie Mae report projects even higher rates through the end of 2024. https://www.fanniemae.com/newsroom/fannie-mae-news/hot-economy-inflation-likely-keep-rates-higher-longer
- Some economists predict rates could rise as high as 8% this year.
