“On the night of January 20, 2020, I wasn’t feeling very well, so I went to an emergency room. Doctors ran labs – soon they told me that I was diagnosed with T-Cell ALL. I was only ten years old in 6th grade. I stayed in the hospital the same night I was diagnosed and started treatment the next day. While doing treatment, I became very weak. Chemo caused me not to be able to walk for a certain amount of time, but after months of PT, I was finally able to walk and do productive things. Now that I am almost done with my chemo treatment, I am ready to be finished. I am very excited to have been chosen to be a Spokeskid for the Sunshine Kids. Thank you for giving me the chance to share my long journey to inspire and help others along the way with their journey. With all my ups and downs, I am waiting for the day I ring the bell on May 18, 2024; this bell ringing tells me I am completely finished with chemo, and I beat cancer!!” -Zariah Carson
